My thoughts on creative COLOR therapy adult coloring

This year for my 36th birthday my husband thought I had plum lost my mind. He is known for giving me great gifts I would never think to ask for – not in a million years. This year I wanted coloring books and coloring pencils.  I had taken him to numerous stores to show him the kind of coloring books I liked, and designs I prefer, and was very specific on the brand of coloring pencils I was after. He kept telling me, he was not going to get me coloring books and colored pencils for my birthday, so I was kind of sad. Well, to my surprise HE GOT THEM FOR ME!!!! This has helped fuel my newest addiction.

I saw creative COLOR therapy, come across my Facebook news feed, and knew I had to contact them. I am always looking for new coloring books, because I have a major obsession with coloring. I find it so relaxing, and I feel it actually helps me concentrate on my school studies more. My only issue is keeping my kids off my coloring books.

The first book is the Butterflies and Flowers coloring book. The pictures in this book are absolutely gorgeous.  There are 30 pages of butterflies and flowers; you can let your creative juices go wild. The pictures are 8 x 11.5 inches – so very easy to frame and add to your walls as a great decor. Many of the pictures are in a circular design, allowing plenty of room around the picture to add a great background scene.

The second book is Water Garden Flowers. The pictures in this book show many water scenes which also include animals such as birds and frogs. There are also pictures  that include dragonflies and bees. This coloring book is perfect for all the water lovers.

One of my favorite aspects of both books is being able to tell they are hand drawn, so you are getting someone’s actual work of art. Many books I have come across in the stores are computer generated, and show no real talent. Between the artist’s work and your creative mind, you can transform each picture.

Being a stay-at-home mom, wife, medical caregiver for mother-in-law, full-time college student, and keeping the house kept up while taking care of the animals,  I found I was always stressed. I felt like I was always at my breaking point, never having anything constructive to do for myself. Coloring has helped alleviate some of my mental stress.

I found that by coloring before a test, or writing a paper my scores improved. I found I was less agitated over small things around the house. Coloring has grounded me, and allows me to focus on a project where I can see progression and have gratification when a page is finished.

Coloring is great for all ages. My girls love my coloring books, in fact, when I get a new book, I have to include them too. My mother-in-law also wants to try coloring again, when she can. Not only would the creative COLOR therapy books be great for you, but for your family members as well.
