Avatar The Last Airbender Series

Avatar The Last Airbender The Complete Series is a must have for anyone who loves Avatar The Last Airbender!

The Last Airbender The Complete Series

Nickelodeon released Avatar The Last Airbender The Complete Series on October 6th, I am happy to tell you about it here on OMG Goodies

My Thoughts about Avatar The Last Airbender The Complete Series-

I haven’t had much time to sit and watch Anime since I was a kid, and although I am not an Anime enthusiast, my husband really loves Avatar: The Last Airbender. The complete series is now available in a DVD box set directly from Nickelodeon. I wasn’t familiar with the series as a kid since it aired from 2005-2008 (I was 20 when it came out), so this series was definitely a nice surprise to sit and watch.

My kids and I made dates to watch this show each day (I don’t pay for television and I monitor my kid’s hours they are allowed to watch). For an avid Roku user, I was happy to find this on DVD because it is a great series to take in the car; I commute an hour each way to work and all major stores in my area.  In traffic, this is a good series to keep my kids busy in the car.

The episodes are approximately 25 minutes long and are about a 12 year old boy, Aang, who fights against the evil Fire Nation to restore balance in a war-filled world. Waterbenders, Earthbenders, Airbender, and Firebenders, are the powers that are separated and come together to fight, but the most powerful bender in the world is the Avatar (Aang), who is the spirit of the planet incarnate.

I really like the extras which have the Spanish and French audio as well; my kids are learning Spanish at school and this gets them interested in learning more so they can understand their show, and incorporates education into something fun. I also enjoy the extra bonus features which include a Pencil Test animation, a background on the Women of Avatar, behind the scenes and making of, and the audio commentary of the cast and crew behind Avatar. I would recommend this DVD collection for any Anime enthusiast and collector and for kids of all ages.
