Brand Castle Baking KitsBrand Castle Baking Kits come in an assortment of varieties. From cake pops, cookies, cupcakes and more, Brand Castle has something for all occasions. Some of the great cookie kits like the Star of David Dipped Sugar Cookie Kit, Ugly Sweater Cookie Kit and Gingerbread Ninja Cookie Kit. We here at OMG Goodies love these kits so much, we are featuring them on the holiday gift guide!

My Thoughts About Brand Castle Baking Kits-

When I stumbled across Brand Castle Baking Kits, I just had to get them for review. I was thrilled when they said yes and sent me a nice assortment of their popular holiday favorites! I could not have been more happy to see the Gingerbread Ninja Cookie Kit, as my friend has been dying to have ninja cookies!

These cookie kits are amazing. They include most ingredients, however you may want to read your boxes before bringing them home. You may need some extra things on hand like Honey for the Gingerbread and Powered Sugar for the icing. The great thing is everything needed is listed on the outside of the box.

We made the gingerbread ninjas and the Star of David cookies first. We managed to make 16 ninjas and 14 stars.  There was still more dough with the Star of David cookies, so we also made a few Ugly Sweaters. The Star of David cookies came with enough chocolate melts, that we managed to do all our stars and 4 ugly sweaters with the Blue and Brown chocolate. We didn’t make the green or red icing, allowing that to go for when we truly want to make the ugly sweater cookies.

The ninja gingerbread cookie kit and ugly sweater one both came with candies to use for decoration. There was 4 different shaped ninja cookie cutters and the other kits only had one cookie cutter. They came with their mix, piping bag, icing mix and the Star of David had it’s chocolates. The cookies once made, came out thin.

I expected them to be lacking in taste because of their thinness. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I absolutely loved the sugar cookies and the chocolate on the Stars of David was absolutely delicious. They weren’t overly sweet and just perfect for me! The Gingerbread Ninjas, seemed lacking in ginger flavor, but that could have been because we added more honey than recommended.

We had so much fun decorating our cookies! I cannot wait to do the REAL Ugly Sweater Cookie Kit. These are so delicious and fun, I recommend you pick up some Brand Castle Baking Kits today! You can find them at Walmart, Walgreens, Costco, BJ’s and other great locations. However, if you can’t find a store near you, you can always find them on Amazon.com!

A Little about Brand Castle-

“Jimmy always encouraged our kids to play with their food,” explains Andrea Zeilinger, relating how the company came to be. Andrea is one half of the husband and wife team that created Crafty Cooking Kits and launched Brand Castle in 2005.  “It’s very much a family affair,” continues Jimmy. “First it was me, Andrea and our daughters, and now it’s grown to include our partners and their kids.”  By partners, Jimmy means Brand Castle employees, which can number more than 60 during their busy season.

“Our goal with Crafty Cooking Kits has always been to create lasting memories through a shared baking experience,” explains Jimmy.

Since selling their first Crafty Cooking Kit in February 2005, Brand Castle has become the leader in interactive baking kits for children and adults. What started with six products ranging from paint-your-own-brownie to a rainbow cookies kit has grown into a portfolio of over 300 items sold under three different brand names and numerous licenses.

During the holidays especially, consumers can find Brand Castle products at virtually every retailer in the United States and Canada in nearly every class of trade.  Brand Castle products can also be found at retailers in South America, Europe and Australia.  Brand Castle also operates an office in southern China for sourcing its housewares products.
