Bubble Guppies: Fun on the Farm DVD

If your kids love animals, then they will love this new farm DVD from Nickelodeon.  The Bubble Guppies take you on fun new farm-based field trips!

Nickelodeon and Paramount Pictures have teamed up to bring fun and educational DVD’s into your home. Bubble Guppies: Fun on the Farm brings the world of the farm and the West into your home. I am excited to tell you about it on OMG Goodies.

My Thoughts on the Bubble Guppies: Fun on the Farm DVD:

My 18 month old son doesn’t like very many shows, but when I put in Bubble Guppies: Fun on the Farm, he was hooked! He loves his farm DVD.  He gets it off the TV stand and brings it to me when he wants to watch it. He will sit and watch at least one episode, sometimes 2 before he gets bored!

This farm DVD is 120 minutes long and features 5 Bubble Guppies episodes.  They are: Have a Cow, The Cowgirl Parade, The Spring Chicken is Coming, The Bubble Bee-Athlon, and Bubble Kitty.  You can watch them in English, Spanish, or French. What I love how the episodes on this farm DVD are not only entertaining, but educational too. Each episode teaches something new to your child.

Have a Cow! is about Buttercup the cow and when she will have her calf. While the bubble guppies are waiting for her have her calf, they learn about other animals on the farm and what sounds they make. They also pretend to be cows and chickens and learn where different food comes from on the farm.  There is also story time. During the story the bubble guppies have to solve a problem to save the day.  This is my son’s favorite episode and he moos at the cows and other animals when they come on the screen.

The Cowgirl Parade! teaches your child about cowgirls and cowboys and what they do. They also learn about opposites.  In this episode during story time, they use opposites to solve the problem. At the end the bubble guppies get to see and be in the Cowgirl Parade.

In The Spring Chicken is Coming! the bubble guppies learn about the coming of spring. Oona is given a special flower which, in the end, helps announce the coming of Spring. Mr. Grouper teaches them about what plants need to grow big and strong. From the story they learn to use patterns to solve a problem.

The Bubble Bee-Athlon! is all about making honey and how bees do it. The bubble guppies have to work together to learn how honey is made, help make it, and deliver it to the queen bee in time.  In this episode they also learn about different shapes.

In Bubble Kitty! The bubble guppies find a lost kitten. While they are trying to find its owner they learn about shapes and different types of big cats, like lions and jaguars. They have to work together to find Bubble Kitty’s owner and then save the day.

My son enjoyed this whole farm DVD. He doesn’t like it very much when they sing, and the songs get stuck in my head, but he really loves all the animals.  This DVD was not only entertaining and educational for my son, it wasn’t annoying for me. They have jokes that are perfect for small kids and made me laugh too. I am very pleased with this farm DVD, Bubble Guppies: Fun on the Farm.
