The struggle is real. Women all over the world have a common problem. What is that problem? Self-confidence and feeling comfortable in your own skin. So, I am going to share some of my tips, for how I feel comfortable in my skin with my OMG Goodies family.

Dress for Success

Dressing for success means even on even on a day where you feel like you have been run over by a bus, you still get up and make an effort to look good. Now, I am not saying dress up in full formal wear, or like you are headed to church unless that makes you feel good. What I do, is I start with a blank slate. I start with the basics, undergarments. Sometimes being comfortable in your own skin begins right there. Some make like matching sets of bra’s and panties, but let’s face it, many of us are moms, and that luxury is gone. I want to be comfortable. That usually means a comfortable sports bra. Companies such as Knix can help you feel comfortable with yourself, with just a simple wardrobe decision.

Positive Thoughts

One of the best ways to feel comfortable in your own skin is having a positive outlook. Sometimes, when we are down, positive thoughts are hard even to comprehend. So, start small. What is one thing that makes you feel good? Is it a trip to the beach? Or visiting a special friend? It could even be a phone call. There is no shortage of positive thoughts. You may have to think a moment to find them. Positive thoughts could be you are happy with your hair at that moment, or your eyes look beautiful that day.

Healthy Mind & Body

Going along with positive thoughts is a healthy mind and body. You can start creating a healthy mind and body by writing yourself notes. These notes do not have to be love letters to yourself, but a reminder of something that you are good at, or just something that makes you happy. Another thing you can do is get active. Go for a walk, or join a gym. Once you start seeing results, you will start feeling comfortable in your own skin.

Love Yourself

Lastly, you have to love yourself. Even on your darkest days, you are worth it. If you are feeling down, reach out for help. Maybe your friends or family can give you reasons for why they love you. Once you hear these reasons, you may decide that they are right. Remember you owe yourself, love. Once you love yourself, self-confidence and being comfortable in your own skin will fall into place.
