Diane Wing has a great book called The Happiness Perspective: Seeing Your Life Differently. I am excited to tell you about it here on OMG Goodies: Life of a Mad Typer.
My Thoughts about The Happiness Perspective: Seeing Your Life Differently –
I Love Diane’s writing. This is one of many books I’ve read of hers and I enjoyed this so much. This book came at a time when I was rethinking my life and the way I look at it — trying to deal with depression and surpass it. I found her words encouraging, and the way she puts things really gets you thinking.
Exercise I-1 made me think of the reaction I’d get if I did that at work. Want to know what I’m talking about? What exercise? Well, throughout the book are different exercises to help you to change your perspective and to put what she says into practice. I like how the book is set up so you don’t have to read from cover to cover, but you can if you want, or you can focus on exactly what you need at the moment.
This book has helped me to look at situations differently and better manage my thoughts and emotions so I do not let what I can’t control affect me so terribly.
