My thoughts on NIrV Once Upon a Time Holy Bible:
With Easter coming up in just a couple of weeks, it is a wonderful time to freshen up on the teachings of the Bible and to learn about Jesus Christ. With this New International Reader’s Version of the Bible, it is easier to understand and comprehend the bible stories. One of my least favorite things about reading the Bible is all of the words that I have no idea how to pronounce as well as the way they talked during that time.
With this Bible, I am able to understand what I am reading. This is because the verses are written in modern-day English. While reading this version of the Bible, each time you stumble upon a new “story” it tells you what story you are about to read. What makes this version a hoot is the 24 full-colored inserts of 6 wonderful stories. I would highly recommend this Bible to those who have children because the inserts it will make reading the Bible with little ones so much more fun and extra special.
Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible
“Once Upon a Time…
The Bible is not a fairy tale, but every great story happened “Once upon a time.” The Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible highlights powerful and inspiring stories from the Bible- including Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, Brave Queen Esther, the Birth of Jesus, Feeding the 5000, and Jesus’ Resurrection — beautifully illustrated with lovely artwork by Omar Aranda. Each captivating story is told in a way that will get children excited about reading the tales of real heroes of the Bible” (back cover).
My thoughts on NIrV Once Upon a Time Storybook Bible:
I remember the first Bible I ever got. It too was a storybook Bible. You have no idea how excited I was to have it. I loved to look through the pages and see the beautiful artwork that told the story of the Bible. It was as if I was reading the Bible my parents read. Just like I was excited to get my own storybook bible, your children, nieces, nephews, or grandchildren will love it as well.
This version of the Storybook Bible is quite different than the one I had when I was a child. I do have to admit that I like this one better. The illustrations are beautiful and depict the stories well. Since Easter is coming up it is a wonderful time to teach your children about Jesus, and I truly believe that your kiddo’s will absolutely love learning the stories with this storybook bible.
