My Thoughts about Pebble Donkey Rattle by Kahiniwalla –
When I found out about Pebble from Kahiniwalla, the help the company gives the communities in Bangladesh blows me away. The handcrafted items they sell are some of the cutest things in the world. I received the chance to review a Pebble Donkey Rattle; this rattle is the cutest thing I have ever seen!
The Donkey Rattle has a gray face with a multi-color body, arms, and legs. He has green braids for his main. It makes a great stuffed animal with a rattle inside as well. When Eli saw it, he took off with it and was kissing it and hugging it. I was unable to get it back from him for four days. He slept with it and would not let me touch it.
The Pebble Donkey Rattle by Kahiniwalla is 100% approved by Eli. It has become his favorite pal. From sleeping to watching television, this little donkey has become a best friend to our little guy.
About Kahiniwalla and Pebble:
Kahiniwalla was established in 2010 by Austin and Marita Miller. Upon his return from work as a product designer with Mennonite Central Committee’s job creation program in Bangladesh, Austin and his wife Marita wanted to continue helping to provide employment for the poor of Bangladesh and decided to do so by distributing Pebble’s high-quality handmade products in North America.
Kahiniwalla is a business which distributes Fair Trade products and tells the story behind those products. They care about the quality of their products and how they’re made with the bigger picture in mind. Pebble is one of these products designed by Samantha Morshed, a social entrepreneur based in Bangladesh.
Samantha’s vision for Pebble of providing places throughout Bangladesh where rural women can work flexible hours close to their homes was just what over 12,000 women were looking for. These rural workplaces provide a welcome alternative for women whose only option previously would be moving to a large city to work in the garment industry, leaving their families behind, and becoming vulnerable to unsafe, unjust and sometimes violent situations.
This information was supplied to me from the Press Release sent to me.
