My Thoughts About Pup Star
Entering the Premiere
When you go to a movie premier it is important to get there early! Seats go very quickly and you may be standing in line for a while, but it is well worth the wait! I had the privilege of taking my kids to this fun, family film and they really enjoyed watching the dogs sing!
When we entered the theater they gave us a shirt, a free popcorn ticket, a free fountain drink ticket, and some coupons to Cold Stone Creamery. Some families got posters as well! The seats were a very comfortable leather and reclined back just like a recliner in your living room. It was very comfortable seating arrangements and the theater was luxurious, to be sure. If you want a seat when seeing a premiere, always go at least 1 hour early so you can get your spot! One-thousand people signed up to see the premier, but with only 150 seats, many were unable to see the film.
The Movie Showing
Pup Star is a movie about a little Yorkie Dog named Tiny and her journey of becoming a singing star. She meets various characters throughout the film who help her with her singing style. You run into Charlie, Big Ears, and a few other dogs who make you laugh and fill your heart with warm music. I love the dog on the air balloon the best! He teaches Tiny to play the drums and sing from the heart! If you love the Air Bud movies, you will definitely love this one! Tiny captures your heart from the very first time you see her and each dog has its own personality and character that draw you into the movie.
It was so fun to see the spoof they did on America’s Got Talent. They even had a dog named Simon, which happened to be a bull dog. The whole thing was quite hilarious; they made the stars into judges. They got the personalities just right! I loved how they used something we can all relate to and made it into a dog show.
This show gave us some good laughs and at the same time remained a clean, good, family film. My boy was jumping in his seat at some points because he was so excited!
If you have been wondering about this movie I would give it 5 stars. It is a fabulous family film and my kids and I loved it!
