Thai Food Made Easy by June Williamson is a great cookbook to learn to make easy Thai food. It is perfect for beginner cooks as well as seasoned cooks!
My Thoughts about Thai Food Made Easy-
I love to meal plan. Usually when I meal plan it is for 2 weeks. Sometimes I get tired of the same old recipes. I like to turn to my recipe books to get some fresh ideas. When I was asked to review the Thai Food Made Easy, I was excited. I did not previously have a Thai cookbook.
For my most recent meal plan, I picked 2 recipes from the Thai Made Easy book. When making my list, and at the store, I noticed a lot of the items I needed were not at my local grocery store. The cookbook does tell you a list of items you will need to purchase at an Oriental store, but where I live there are no Oriental stores within a 20 mile radius. I do wish the items were more ‘local store friendly’. I decided to leave a few ingredients out, or try substitutions. The cookbook has recipes for soups, meals, and desserts. The 2 recipes I made were the Veggie Curry and the Pad Prien Wan. They were both fast and easy to make. My husband and kids loved both dishes; they are keepers (the recipes and the family). My kids had never had Thai before, and I am happy to add this Thai cookbook to my collection! With this cookbook you will also save money on take out! The kids can help you make a Thai dish at home! Mine loved helping me prep the veggies and mixing.
This cookbook would make a great housewarming gift or a great addition to your kitchen. As a busy mom nothing is better than fast and easy recipes to follow. This cookbook can be found on Amazon for $14.54 and can be added to your Kindle for $6.99.
