The Enchanted Forest resembles a fairytale nestled on the side of a hill surrounded by trees, thatched roofed cottages, a log ride (among many other amusement rides), and even Humpty Dumpty. It is not your ordinary amusement park. Read on to find out why we love the Enchanted Forest.
The Enchanted Forest
My family and I were invited to visited the Enchanted Forest theme park. Everyone was thrilled to discover exactly what this place is all about. This park is located close to Salem, Oregon, in the town of Turner. It is a great destination to put on your map, especially if you are visiting the Oregon coast.
Entering the theme park, you begin your journey at the castle and follow a brick trail called Storybook Lane. This lane meanders through the forest. Along the way, you run into several fairytale characters including Alice in Wonderland. You can chase her down the rabbit hole, which is an adventure all of its own. You will also find the Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe. Grab a potato sack and take a ride down the crazy slide. The best part about this slide is that it is big enough for adults to enjoy as well as the kiddos. I took quite a few trips down the slide right along with my kiddos. Watch out, as you make your way through Storybook Lane you will run into the candy cottage where Hansel and Gretel escape the grasp of the evil witch, too! Storybook Lane is full of everyone’s favorite childhood stories.
What to Expect
Around every corner, you will find a little bit of whimsy. From Cinderella’s glass slipper to trash cans inside of tree trunks, visiting the Enchanted Forest is like stepping into a storybook.
Take a look at all the different attractions, activities, and adventures laid out on their map. Stroll through Western Town, get spooked in the Haunted House, but first, you need to visit the Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe.
First, you must start at the castle…. and follow the trail.
After you have found your way through the Crooked House, stumbled down Alice’s Rabbit Hole, and met Humpty Dumpty, you can continue your adventure to different parts of the Enchanted Forest. Stroll on through Tofteville Western Town where you can explore the secret Indian caves. Visit the Old European Village where you will find Merlin’s Magic Shop.
There are amusement rides for every age. With kiddy rides, an ice mountain bobsled, and even a log ride, everyone in the family will soon find their favorite ride at the Enchanted Forest.
Here we are some photos of our visit. My favorite ride was the log ride. My boys really liked the Challenge of Mondor. We went on these rides over and over.
The entire family had a magnificent time while visiting the Enchanted Forest. There is so much to do and see. We will definitely return again to enjoy another enchanted visit. What are you waiting for? It’s time to visit the Enchanted Forest! Let’s go!
